Kovan Wellspring is a major public housing development advanced by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) in the Hougang estate. As a high-standard livelihood project in Singapore, it imposes rigorous requirements on the environmental compliance, dimensional precision, and delivery schedule of construction materials. In this project, VASTBUILD served as the designated subcontractor, responsible for the material supply and technical coordination of core interior woodwork.
Cooperation Period: 2025 - 2026
Supplied Products: Customized kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and associated panel components for over 100 residential units across the project.
Technical & Compliance Standards: All delivered panels and hardware accessories strictly comply with Singapore HDB's high green building standards (including core physical and chemical parameters such as moisture resistance, flame retardancy, and formaldehyde emission limits). VASTBUILD provided end-to-end quality traceability from centralized raw material procurement to ex-factory inspection.
In response to the project's characteristics of "rapid advancement, intensive multi-trade cross-operations on-site, and requirements for exceptionally high coordination," VASTBUILD implemented the following targeted supply chain and delivery solutions to strongly guarantee the main contractor's on-site fulfillment:
1. Ultra-Fast Response:Securing the Schedule for the Client Addressing the pain points of rapid project advancement and intensive cross-operations, we drastically compressed our service window. Through a high-frequency production, supply, and sales linkage—measuring in January and completing installation in April—VASTBUILD ensured that the woodwork phase was no longer a bottleneck but a key catalyst propelling the project into its delivery stage ahead of time.
January 2026: Completed precise on-site measurement and technical deepening for all 586 units.
February - March 2026: Modular flexible production at our domestic base, smart manufacturing quality inspection, and international logistics.
April 2026: Finalized all on-site installation work and handed over for inspection.
2. Modular Production & Fully-Assembled Delivery Moving away from the traditional model of shipping loose components, we advanced the complex woodwork assembly processes. The panels undergo precision cutting, edge banding, and pre-assembly of structural components at the factory end, and are shipped as fully-assembled modular units. This strategy physically ensures consistent product quality control at the source and drastically reduces technical reliance on on-site installation workers.
3. Significant Reduction in On-Site Installation Time Addressing the tight construction schedule, the fully-assembled delivery model eliminated tedious on-site panel sorting, assembly, and fine-tuning. Once the goods arrived at the Tampines Road project site, workers only needed to position, anchor, and seal the modules. The woodwork installation time per unit was compressed by over 30%, significantly enhancing the overall delivery efficiency of the project.
4. Flexible Supply Chain & Seamless Coordination Facing the massive volume of this project and limited on-site storage space, VASTBUILD demonstrated robust flexible delivery capabilities. We dynamically adjusted shipping batches and logistics pacing based on the actual construction progress of each block (Just-in-Time delivery). By achieving a "hoist upon arrival, install upon hoisting" workflow, we perfectly aligned with the main contractor's fast-paced construction demands.
